Terms & Conditions

AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE ADI FORUM AND ALL REGISTERED MEMBERS (6/03/11)

The ADI Forum is a privately owned and managed forum belonging to Driving Innovation Ltd.

The ADI Forum encourages an open and positive debate amongst forum members of issues concerning the driver training industry. Whilst the ADI Forum welcomes the diversity of view points expressed by forum members the posts and actions of members must still comply with the forum agreement below. In essence the ADI Forum welcomes members that wish to promote and develop best practices for education in the driver training arena. Any member that understands that this is the first principle of membership will encounter little difficulty with this forum.

By registering and continuing as a member you are accepting the ADI Forum’s philosophy, the manner in which the forum is administered and the direction of the forum as set out in this agreement. The administrator has the right to make future improvements and/or changes to this agreement at any time. The administrator also has the right to make changes at any time to the  running of the forum. Members’ views will be taken on board wherever appropriate or practicable. Part of the philosophy of the ADI forum is to welcome feedback and suggestions from the membership. The method for this should be via the contact form on the main website and not on threads where the goal is to stimulate and protect discussion relevant to the driver training industry not to debate the administration or running of the forum.

The term ‘ADI Forum’ applies to all parts of the forum, chat room and website. Your continued use of the ADI Forum will be taken as your acceptance of ALL parts of this agreement and therefore should you disagree with the terms of this agreement or the methods used to administer the forum or any part of the direction or philosophy of the forum you should in the first instance contact a member of the Support Team or the Administrator and then if you are not happy with the response received should cease to be a member.

You agree, through your use of this ADI Forum and Chat room, that you will not post any material which is false, defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, or otherwise in violation of ANY law. Legal actions can be taken against you. You will not harass or intimidate any forum member either on this message board, via pm or email communication. You also agree not to post or attempt to circulate any copyrighted material via the forum unless the copyright is owned by you or you have consent from the owner of the copyrighted material. Spam, flooding, advertisements, chain letters, pyramid schemes, and solicitations are also inappropriate to this ADI forum.

The ADI Forum reserves the right to ban any individual member or members who are held to have engaged in conduct amounting to sabotage of the forum and its objectives for any reason whatsoever whether personal, political or otherwise, or behaviour that damages and/or undermines the fundamental principles of open and positive debate upon which the ADI Forum is based, or victimisation of another forum member or members to include but not limited to acts of libel, slander, harassment, bullying or the spreading of untrue rumours about another forum member or members.

On registering on the ADI Forum you waive any rights to ownership of your posted material. Your posts or threads maybe removed, moved or archived without notification. In practice we will aim to make it clear which boards archiving takes place on and on what basis. You are at all times solely responsible for the content of your messages. You hereby agree to indemnify and hold harmless this ADI Forum (and related websites to this forum) against legal proceedings that may arise in any jurisdiction whatsoever in which the forum (or a related website) incurs legal costs arising from (but not limited to) the content of your posts, attachments or any web links posted on the forum by you. You should understand that by offering this indemnity you are agreeing to be solely liable for ALL costs arising as a result of such legal proceedings including (although not limited to) legal fees, court judgments and interest. We at this ADI Forum also reserve the right to reveal your identity (or any information we have about you) in the event of a complaint or legal action arising from any information posted by you. The ADI Forum reserves the right to refuse deletion of a members account, posts and profile information.

Advertising & Self Promotion

You acknowledge it is your responsibility to keep up to date with any changes to the ADI Forum’s conditions on advertising & self promotion. More detailed information along with changes will be posted in the ‘Introduce Yourself’ board under ‘Important Topics’.

Signature Strip

All members can use the signature strip (edited using the ‘Profile’ tab) to inform the membership of what their business/service does. This must be written more to inform the membership rather than be read as an advert promoting your business/services. Signatures & Avatars are approved by the Support Team before going live and if your signature is rejected the Support Team will advise you of the necessary changes to make.

You can add an image / company logo to your signature.

A web link is also available from your Profile Section

You should only include information about your own business / service

Avatars

Your avatar should not be promoting your business / service

Advertising & Self Promotion within posts

You accept that the ADI Forum wants to keep threads free from self promotion and advertising unless a specific board clearly states otherwise.

When posting you agree not to advertise your own driving school, services and products in such a way as to promote yourself or your business. Any such posts will be removed. Links to external sites are acceptable if they are relevant to the discussion and not unnecessarily repeated. You agree not to advertise or promote the services of individuals, third party businesses or organisations without first gaining permission from the administrator of the ADI Forum.

Let the work come to you

Acting in such a way as to 'poach' PDI’s, ADI’s or Learner drivers, or in fact any member who uses the ADI Forum will be viewed very seriously. Do not make approaches directly to other members offering your services throughout any part of this forum and website. For example, leaving your e-mail address in a post or asking members to contact you via pm maybe viewed this way. The ADI Forum does not consider this approach an acceptable form of behaviour so if any member is deemed to be using the site in that way will be placing their membership and posts at risk of removal.

The following rules are in place as the purpose of this site is not for members to use it to look for work - that is not the ADI Forum's intention. If a member comes to you and it turns into business, that’s fine!

Any other form of self promotion, either directly or indirectly, where the member is likely to benefit financially, and which is deemed not in keeping with the 'spirit' of the forum is unacceptable and may lead to a suspension or ban.

If a member contacts you directly enquiring about training delivered by you, this will continue to be acceptable. (As a member you can directly contact a trainer to enquire about their services – PDI’s can use the online Trainer Request Form)

You must not send unsolicited pm's or e-mails to members which can be seen as self promotion and/or invite members to contact you about training or related services.

You must not recommend a trainer on the public boards if you are likely, either directly or indirectly, to benefit financially from this recommendation and/or the recommended trainer is a business partner or partner.

No warranty or guarantee is given by the ADI Forum for a trainer recommended by any member of this forum.

The ADI Forum reserves the right to accept small amounts of advertising or promotional content where permission to post has first been obtained from the administrator. Posts or attachments maybe removed if they repeatedly contain links (or references) to websites that offer similar services to the ADI Forum, or conflict with the aims of the ADI Forum.

Note that it is impossible for us to confirm the validity of posts on this ADI Forum. Please remember that we do not actively monitor every posted message and are not responsible for their content. We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness or usefulness of any information presented. The messages express the views of the author, not necessarily the views of this ADI Forum. Anyone who feels that a posted message is objectionable is encouraged to notify either the Support Team or Administrator of this forum immediately using the ‘Contact Support’ button or the ‘Contact Form’ on the main website. We have the rights to remove objectionable content, within a reasonable time frame, if we determine that removal is necessary. This is a manual process, however, so please realize that we may not be able to remove or edit particular messages immediately. This policy goes for member profile information as well. In a few situations posts or threads maybe removed or moved without notification to the poster.

With this user account you are about to register, you agree to never give your password out to another forum member, for your protection and for validity reasons. You also agree to NEVER use another member's account to post messages or browse this forum. One member is allowed only one account.

After you register and log into this ADI Forum, you can fill out a detailed profile. It is your responsibility to present clean and accurate information. Any information we deem inaccurate, vulgar or breaches the above conditions will be removed.

Please note that with each post, your IP address is recorded, in the event that you need to be banned from this ADI Forum or your ISP contacted. This will only happen in the event of a violation of this agreement.
